Prepared for what you ask? Well, everything.

Episode 3 of the self storage studio show is out and Jonathan tackles preparedness of all varieties, primarily stemming from how unprepared Egypt was in that now-viral image from the Suez Canal shipping fiasco, where a single excavator is attempting to dig out one of the biggest shipping vessels in the world.

Newmark had themselves a robust year in 2020, amidst a global pandemic, and it bodes the question of how prepared they must have been. Kennth Cox and Aaron Swerdlin chat about how they were well positioned, combined with a rather large deal with Blackstone that was already in their pipeline.

With the immediate arrival of a new generation of germaphobes spawned from 2020, self storage facility owners need to approach physical consumer touch-points in a whole new manner. Thomas Brooks of PTI Security Systems explained to us how they were already heavily investing and implementing touchless keypad technologies when the pandemic struck. Coincidence? Not remotely, because according to Thomas, touchless entry has been a focus for years.
