This week the Radius+ team dove into the Fort Collins-Loveland, CO CBSA. This market has seen tremendous population and housing growth.

Accelerated by the affordable cost of living- Fort Collins-Loveland, CO CBSA and strong job market. Reporting a 3.6% employment rate… the lowest in the entire state!

Fort Collins-Loveland, CO is a strong bedroom community with close proximity to employment hubs like Denver and Boulder. With the City of Fort Collins reporting that its population is projected to reach nearly 240,000 residents by 2040, representing significant growth from its current population of approximately 170,000.

However- this growth has attracted Self Storage investors, and with over 9% of forecasted supply in planning in the development pipeline, even the forecasted population growth likely won’t offset 9% new supply added as its population growth will take decades to take effect, especially in a spread out suburban market like this one.
