With Q3 2022 coming to a close soon the public REITs will release their earning data including information regarding their Q3 occupancy rates. In Q2 2022, the top three regions with the highest occupancy rates were:

The West Pacific region which includes California, Oregon, Washington, as well Alaska and Hawaii had an occupancy rate of 95.7%.

The South Atlantic region which encompasses Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia had an occupancy rate of 95.6%.

The East North Central region including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin had an occupancy rate of 95.3%.

Given the high occupancy rates for these 3 regions, it will be interesting to see where their rates go for the next quarter.
