This past weekend I was in Denver and saw Self Storage facilities everywhere. The Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO CBSA is the 20th largest market for self storage in the US, and has a square foot per capita of a bit under 7.

However it looks like supply hasn’t grown too much in the past 2 years in this area, with only .9% of new supply being added in 2023 and .4% in 2022. This growth trend seems likely to continue as well as there’s only .6% more supply currently under construction.
