With May behind us we can see that rates have slowed down when compared to last year's spike in price per square foot. The average price per square foot from May 1st to May 18th 2021 was $1.71 while the average price per square foot for the same date range in 2022 was $1.80. This was only a 5.5% increase when comparing year over year, the lowest increase in the same month from 2021 to 2022 we’ve seen so far this year.
