March 18, 2022, with the acquisition of Highland Mini Storage, StorageMart continues to expand in the San Antonio region. With plans to develop the facility, this purchase comprises 43,000 total net rentable square feet, 410 storage units, and 80 parking spaces. In the next days, this facility will move to StorageMart management and branding.
StorageMart who are headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, were founded in 1999, and aim to “satisfy every customer with friendly service and a welcoming self storage environment”. With more than 220 self storage facilities across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, StorageMart promise to provide easy, clean storage solutions and friendly customer service.
The facility will be upgraded and updated to meet StorageMart security standards. The upgrades will include, new cameras around the facility and an Opentech Gate as well as general renovations. Along with the 410 storage units, there’s plans to add an additional 263 new units and a new office building to the site.
Chief Executive Officer, Cris Burnam announced "Just a few years ago, the Texas self storage market was oversupplied. Today though, we believe it's as strong as it's ever been, and that's why we felt confident in our continued investment in San Antonio”.
